Notice of Surcharge Update
Container Management Fee for Discharge (CMD)
Dear Valued Customer,
Please be advised that, effective October 1, 2026, the Container Management Fee for Discharge (CMD) will increase from USD 15 to USD 20 per container on all destination bills of lading. The coverage amount will also increase from USD 500 to USD 625. This fee will cover the cost for structural container damage of USD 625 or less per container.
Above this threshold, the balance of structural damage cost over USD 625 will still remain subject to current billing procedures. The surcharge will apply only to containers owned or leased by the Carrier that were in-gated at origin on or after the effective date, and to all cargo to Canada and the US for all trades.
