Congestion Surcharge - Revision

For all cargo destined to the U.S. East Coast Ports/U.S. Gulf Coast Ports 

 

Dear Valued Customers,

As an update to ONE’s previous advisory on Congestion Surcharge, the new effective date will be October 27, 2024 (based on cargo receipt date at origin) and will be split up into two surcharge codes and quantum listed.  

 

Unless otherwise specifically indicated in a particular rate item and/or individual service contract, the following charges will be assessed on: 

 

-All dry and refrigerated cargo (including exempt cargo).

-Discharging in the U.S. Atlantic (East) Coast Ports and U.S. Gulf Coast Ports.

 

1) CONGESTION SURCHARGE AT DESTINATION (CGD)

Origins:  All origins except China   

USD 1000 per 20' container

USD 2000 per 40' container

USD 2000 per 40' high cube container

USD 2530 per 45' container

 

2) CONGESTION SURCHARGE (CON)

Origins:  All origins in China 

USD 900 per 20' container

USD 1000 per 40' container

USD 1125 per 40' high cube container

USD 1265 per 45' container
 

-CGD and CON are collect at the destination.

-CON is less than CGD due to governmental regulatory requirements.
