Important Lithium Battery Notice

Policy Update

Dear Valued Customers,

Ensuring cargo safety is our top priority.  Effective immediately, all shipments containing lithium batteries, whether declared as dangerous goods (DG) or non-DG, will require all complete documentation to be submitted 24 hours prior to port cutoff.

Documentation includes:

  • Safety data sheet (SDS)
  • Self-heating test report
  • Dangerous goods declaration (DGD), if applicable
  • Letter of Indemnity (LOI), if applicable
  • Any other documentation as necessary

Insufficient, incomplete, or missing documentation at the time of deadline will cause the booking to be rolled, and any additional charges will be applied to the shipper's account.

Lithium batteries, DG and non-DG, are subject to specific declaration and stowage requirements.   Incorrect or misaligned shipping instructions and declared information will result in penalties.

Please review our previous notices regarding lithium batteries.
