Dear Valued Customers,

Due to an influx of cargo from Asia to the West Coast of South America and a lower-than-normal draft at Puerto Quetzal, the Marex service is facing severe congestion for cargo via LAX to Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Nicaragua. In an effort to reduce the backlog, ONE is utilizing external feeder services to help facilitate cargo movement. 

Effective August 8th, the following congestion surcharge will go into effect.

CONGESTION SURCHARGE AT DESTINATION (CGD)

Unless otherwise explicitly indicated in a particular rate item and/or individual service contract, the following Congestion Surcharge (CGD) will be assessed on:

Acajutla, El Salvador; Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica, Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala; and Corinto, Nicaragua

Quantum

USD 500 per container - All dry cargo (including exempt cargo)

Change Effective Date

August 8th, 2024
